  • My 118TSI 3 Pedal Octavia :)

    Hey guys,

I've been meaning to post for quite some time, just been busy with work/studies etc...such is life.

Anyways, I'll be looking to upload some pics etc in the future of my recently acquired 2009 Skoda Octavia 118TSI in 3 pedals.

I haven't done much to it so far apart from the following:

    - vRS front bumper with DRLs/parking sensors yet to be connected.
    - Full vRS interior convert.
    - Interior LED's
    - License plate LED's
    - Custom plates
    - 18" Golf R rims (need to source some tyres, thinking of getting Kumho KU19's at $150/corner delivered).

I do however need some help with a couple of issues if you guys could help out
    - Connecting of the OEM DRL's.
    - My windscreen washer bottle is leaking I filled it up and went to test however under the front driver's side wheel its leaking out of the tank. Should I just remove the front wheel and the tank and patch up the leak? I don't think the pump has been affected.
    - My horn isn't working after I had someone install vRS steering wheel which in hindsight we realised was quite silly as it originally had the 4 spoke MFSW on it. Thinking of grabbing a 3 spoke MFSW off ebay and replacing it with this vRS one.
    - Are you guys aware of any issues in fitting the 18's I have? Being that they're 5x112 as wheel, I believe they'll be a direct swap in with balancing and alignment?

    Cheers guys

    Nathan

    Welcome Nathan!

There's a wealth of knowledge across the members here. Where abouts are you from? I know some members are willing to help out in person particularly with things like electronics/lighting.

And yes, post some pics when you get a chance!

      Thanks cbay

I would take some but my car is so dirty at the moment, planning on giving it a mini detail this week. I'm based in Sydney, around the Lidcombe area.

Would be great if someone could direct me to the above listed. I'm thinking step one in terms of the DRLs is to remove the foglight grill and fog light and take a look at how the DRL is actually hooked up, that is, if it's hooked up at all :S

Called Autobarn Bankstown, they quoted between $100-150 to hook up the DRLs for me.

I don't know about OEM wiring, but you can probably get an el-cheapo SuperCheap Auto DRL relay and have them working tomorrow!...

Yes, I know thats a bit of a botch job, but they'll light up.

I have to ask the question, with all the RS conversion bits, why not just get the RS?
