Brad reminded me to sort this out - so here are the facts:

    Factory Neptune wheels - 18*7.5 ET51 - 13.4kg

    Replica Audi RS4 - 18*8 ET45 - 11kg

Replica Golf R - 18*8 ET45 - Approx same as Audi above from memory

2012.1 Skoda Octavia VRS DSG Wagon - Carbonio cold air intake and pipe - HPA Motorsports BBK 355mm rotors 6 pot calipers
APR Stage II ECU - APR 3" exhaust down pipe & high flow catalyst
APR/HP Roll bars - Eibach springs and Bilstien shocks
Supaloy lower control arms - Enkei 18*8 Wheels

2018 Ralyee Green RS wagon. Fully optioned.
Previous vehicles:2015 Volvo V60 Polestar (my one detour from VW/Skoda!)

Also note, Tigger's wheels are 19" so you would expect them to be a little heavier than a 18"
2012.1 Skoda Octavia VRS DSG Wagon - Carbonio cold air intake and pipe - HPA Motorsports BBK 355mm rotors 6 pot calipers
APR Stage II ECU - APR 3" exhaust down pipe & high flow catalyst

Supaloy lower control arms - Enkei 18*8 Wheels

Today I purchased a lovely set of wheels for my Octavia - Enkei Raijin

This is my favourite wheel spoke pattern
        These wheels are the exact size I wanted, 18 x 8 ET45
(Normally this spoke pattern is only available in 18 x 8.5 or 19 x 8.5)

These wheels weight in at, drum roll please, 9.1kg!

They are well clear of my BBK - very important
They have wonderful machined tapers for the bolts
(Unfortunately the CB is wrong so I have to use hub centric rings)

I think I'm going to get them pained gun metal - similar to the colour of my car

enkei have been making wheels light for a long time Good choice.

The S-line audi ronals I just put on mine in 17x7.5 weigh what feels like a lot..... I think most of hte factory wheels sacrifice weight for strength, as all the factory rims I've used have been solid as anything (I drive on a lot of bad roads).

At the other extreme, I still have a set of 16x7.5 speedlines (used to run on my mk3 golf) that are feather light but prone to damage.

Imagine this: VW/Audi/Skoda recall - Wheels will fall apart if you hit a pot hole.

They'd have to come up with some pretty fancy marketing to make people forget that!...

Just out if interest more than anything, I know some people often say "I have this wheel and theres no scrubbing" but sometimes I do wonder if these people do any real driving..... reason being I think the fitment on my octavia right now is still relatively conservative (compared to brads photo) and I can still say for certain that it scrubs on the rear over big bumps or when there is a person in the back over smaller bumps.

my fitment is 17x7.5 ET45 with a 235/45 tyre, and I have eibach pro-kit.... just FYI for people wanting to get into a new set of wheels.

My Octavia (wagon) is lowered 20mm~25mm and I've never had a rear (or front) wheel rub on anything over bumps or at full lock

Wow, 235 fits on a 7.5" rim, that's useful to know
                    Love the Eibach Pro gear

Ok boys and girls, here is a teaser, just had my Enkei's fitted
I've had them painted to exactly the same colour as my car

ok fine, what are you doing with the golf R rims?

Unfortunately the golf rims are now surplus to requirements, they will be sold
They would really suit a white car (or maybe other light colours)
I'm trying to get down to one spare set of track day rims (the Audi RS4 rims)

I'm thinking these Enkei's are a bit too flash, high level of temptation involved, I may need to buy a lock nut set...
