I like that idea, but you need to be sure that your transmission can cope with the increased torque (the DSG7 can't handle as much as the DSG6, IIRC). An informed tuner should know about this and be able to tweak things accordingly.

Edit: VW spec the DQ200 DSG on cars with under 250 nm torque and use other DSGs for higher torque engines. Volkswagen Group The 7-speed DSG
