That looks really good! a little less "frumpy" than the standard grille (which I still like).
Are you happy with it, now you've seen it fitted?

I've trusted superskoda and ordered some interior shiny trims (around headlight switch etc), and also another underseat storage compartment to fit under the drivers seat which is blanked on mine. They are handy things if you can remember they're there!

        I think it looks great!!

I *hate* chrome... But alas it can't be helped that the chrome looks good on Tigger's.
        Goes with the wheels, etc.

        Nice numberplate.

I just realised - the VRS badge is missing - can't take it off the old grill?

well...long story...I bought a new one, as the old one cant be taken off the original grille.
the new one attaches with bolts and nuts.
these came apart while trying to fit them...then I kinda broke the nut part...then I kinda superglued my fingers to the new badge, thus making my hand a special edition RS hand...(owww)
while trying to remove said badge, i ripped off a nice chunk of what I will call 'finger-skin'...(double ouch.....)

            so that badge got ruined...

no worries...new one on the way ...should be here within a short time.

            ah...fun and games...

I really didn't need to be reminded of American Pie 2 lol

It looks good but I'm still torn - Its a bit like a Jeep without the 7 bar grille. Anyway great work despite the hardships

Picked up my grill from the post office this morning and have fitted it
It's good but not as good as I had hoped
The honey combe pattern is pointing up rather than forward
The bonnet release lever sticks out like an old man with his fly down

Was a little tricky swapping the plastic/chrome trim over

I have not noticed the honeycomb pattern facing differently....(am I just stupid??...shhh...no one answer that please)

As for the bonnet release, mine sits flush inside the grille. I can pull it out from the front, but it wont open the bonnet unless the lever is released from inside the car, so it is safe.

And, yes...removing / replacing the chrome part was not as easy as I thought it was going to be at all!!!

Have you fitted your new badge yet? (my new replacement one came this week too...I will try not to mess this one up)

one of my main reasons for not getting it.
looking at the pics in superskoda, i didn't like the way the honeycomb is facing.
it needs to b angled more forward facing, and less upward facing.
needs to b the same angle as the lower grille.

Yep - fully agree - but I will say is still provides greater overall synergy at the front
I really feel they messed up the front of the RS
The two grills don't match and the round fogs don't match the head lights

The 118 TSI model without DRL's had fog lights that do match the headlights

No mate, I had assumed the VRS badge could be removed and put on the new grill, wrong
I've ordered a new VRS badge for the new grill (want to keep the old one as a spare)
