Ok... well ive clocked up nearly 4000klms since picking the car up in Late December. Im still grinning from ear to ear.
The wagon shines every day with its capabilities.
Most recently my partner and I drove to Batemans Bay for a day of fishing. I took 3 x 7 foot fishing rods a 50kg fishing kayak, two folding chairs, net, yabbie pump, large tackle bag, bucket, esky and rod holders. Which all bar the rods fit into the immense boot space. With the Centre seat folded down (OPEN) the rods fit in perfectly without touching the passenger seat.
We left at 430am to get to the bay for the morning tide change and i was extremely impressed with the High Beam and fog lamps, as there where numerous kangaroos on or around the road. The Kings highway isnt regarded as a good surface with short overtaking lanes and many off camber corners.
The clyde mountain is a fun bit of road to drive in both directions, and i was lucky enough that there wasnt any traffic on the way down the mountain. This meant i was able to take corners at a good speed. Im really impressed by a FWD car that doesnt feel like a controlled crash under brakes!! and the RS definately feels solid and responsive. (Very BMW like under braking)
Comming back up the mountain in the mid afternoon was a good challenge with many poor drivers and slower cars to contend with. The external temp was showing between 36 and 38 deg on the clyde asscent. We had the Aircon on 17deg with fan blowing madly. Even with the not so aerodynamic kayak on the roof racks, and a fully loaded boot hot outside temps the Skoda performed like a trooper.
This is an amazing car for climbing up mountain roads and cornering. Ive never driven a wagon that is this capable in so many circumstances. The acceleration and torque showed how good this engine is and I didnt have any issues with overtaking. Im really impressed with the Michelin tyres too, they are quiet on cornering and have tremendous grip for a factory tyre.
All in all we got back after a good day trip happy safe and comfortable from the fantastic seats and great aircon.

Like you say , you can get all that in, and still have a fun drive without drinking fuel like a big V8 - sweet..
