Eyelids (headlight spoilers)

Hey guys,

I want to have your opinion. I want to get eyelids for my silver lift back Octavia.

Now my car has the following specs:
- Silver liftback
- Matt black wheels
- Matt black front grill
- Dark black window tints.

So now I'm contemplating of which color eyelids I should choose.

- Silver (body color)
Or
- Matt black (to keep the theme going)

So I kinda need your opinion which color you would choose and why

i'd probably go with the matt black........keeps inline with ur grill & theme.

I rekon stick with the body colour.

the matt black (IMO) in the middle of nowhere, might make it look weird.

the grill and wheels in the black are an awesome combo IMO. I want to do the same thing. it will be good to see how you've coloured your rims and grill.

I'd say body colour as well. Especially with a light coloured car.

i'd say body colour if you're trying to alter the shape of the headlights. if it's matte black against silver it will look weird (to me anyway) if you're going to change the shape of the headlight from curved to straight. it looks more 'natural' to me to go from straight edge to straight edge with different colours, like on the pre-fl octy. I agree. The black might look strange on the lights. I think the idea of eyelids is to change the shape and make them blend in with the bodywork a bit more. Silver will do that on yours, black will make them a feature - more like eyeliner that eyelids!

Well guys, just to give you an update. I've ordered 2 different colors. Gloss Silver and Matt Black so I'll try both of them and see how they turn out

I've done that on my Evo when I had one before this. And it looks stunning. But do you have HID/Xenon or normal lights??

Yes but she is usually wearing a low top and short skirt so you're not looking at the eyes.

Basically if you have a great set of wheels and the ride height is just right people won't be looking at the lights

I had eyelids on my pre-FL a while back, ones from briskoda..... anyway, one of them came off So now, no more eyelids.

It did look pretty good, but you could just about achieve the same look on a pre-fl car by using black trim tape.
