  • Which Shock's do our Octavia VRS have?

Trying to find out if we have the 50mm or 55mm shocks
(Is that the outside diameter or the steel shaft diameter?)

Thinking of getting coil overs and multi pot brake calipers
Don't want to lower the car much for normal use,
but would be nice to have adjustables for track days
2012.1 Skoda Octavia VRS DSG Wagon - Carbonio cold air intake and pipe - HPA Motorsports BBK 355mm rotors 6 pot calipers
APR Stage II ECU - APR 3" exhaust down pipe & high flow catalyst
APR/HP Roll bars - Eibach springs and Bilstien shocks
Supaloy lower control arms - Enkei 18*8 Wheels

You front struts are already "coil overs"
    Its the tube diam.
Drive it 1st on a track. Ill bet you wont get any faster by changing anything other than driving style and tyre pressures.

OK, thanks, I've measured the outside tube and it is 55mm
I'm keen to give the car some added traction from stationary, less nose dive on braking
and perhaps better rebound control (still evaluating that aspect of the stock shocks)
