So when will the new RS model actually land in Aust??

So does anyone have real, specific, authentic, details as to when Aust will get stocks of the new Octavias?

Esp the RS model?

and the wagon RS?

anyone "in" with skoda / vw people with real info??

for australia......
- normal octavia = 2nd half of 2013
- RS octavia = nothing yet. but i'd say 1st half of 2014
- scout octavia = same as the RS

I think the timing above is reasonable. It really depends on the factory and how quickly they start RHD production and how quickly they get ADR compliance and crash testing sorted. Of course after that you then have a couple of months for transit.
I would expect to see a new Octavia and maybe even a VRS if they have been released at the 2013 Motor Show.

Have there been any confirmed pics of the new Octavia? All i can find on a google image search are artists renders. The current model is a great looker IMO gonna be hard to top.

But when will Right Hand Drive production start and when will ADR compliance be done? I suspect Australia with sales in the 100-200 per month range will be well down the list as far as priority is concerned.

ADR who knows but RHD with the UK market would be a big priority....They would have to be onto ADR relatively quickly otherwise they won't have any Octavia's to sell come mid next year.
