I drove past the holding yards at Ingleburn today and there are so many Skoda's and esp Yetis in stock!!!

It looked like hundreds even!!

Do they really think so many will sell here, or are we the dumping ground for Europes unwanted production....?

The local VW dealer near where I live probably have 200+ assorted cars in their holding yard at the moment. If Skoda only have a couple of hundred at head office that is nothing.
Keep in mind that there is one boat per month and Skoda are selling a 300-500 cars per month nationally so a couple of hundred is less than a months supply.
A mate of mine is the property manager with a Melbourne based motor group and they hold 900 new cars in stock in their holding yard.

Perhaps a bit of both!... But I'd say they probably will sell, due to the lack of Octavia Scout stock.

Manufacturers usually ramp down production rather than try and "dump" it on another market.

They don't sell UK spec Skodas in Australia they are poverty pack models compared to what we get here.
