2010 DSG 147 wagon, 40000km. I stopped counting sometime ago (you miss a couple and the novelty wears off). I do a quick calculation in my head at the pump and simply reset the trip computer every time. A mix of urban and freeway/country and its almost always 8.3, I usually fill up with around 50km of range and the trip computer around 600km. Long freeway trips on cruise (eg we do Sydney to Coffs regularly), gives me 7 -7.2 consistently. Given that I'm not a small man, and I have a heavy right foot, I'm pretty damn happy with that... it gets pretty close to the manufacturer's claims, which many vehicles simply do not.

2011My12 90tsi dsg wagon here. 11,000kms, total average is 8.3L/100km. short urban trips, most are fully/family loaded. Regular trip average is around 7.2L, some short heavy footed trips average 9L. My last trip, urban mixed with freeway driving, the average consumption dropped nicely to 6.7L/100km.

Over the past few weeks I've been getting 900km/tank pretty much every fill up. Mind you, fill ups are every 2-3 days. Sometimes I hate my job. XD

This is stop start trafffic, heavy foot, and highways.
Sydney CBD is a lot of fun, especially when you're returning such great fuel figures you can afford to floor it!

My Octavia Scout Premium has just hit its 1 year birthday, and its at 7.14 l/100km average over the last year.

Things I have noticed when looking at the figures was what a difference different diesels actually made. It doesn't get good range out of Liberty, but does a heck of a lot better with BP, and Mobil ain't that far behind. Liberty was always around the 7.5s (it was my local one), BPs around 6.9s, and Mobil 7.1.

Recently had a great trip average of 4.8l/100km from Central coast to the mid-north coast and back again, round trip of 820km. Fair bit of dirt road mountainous driving in there too.

I find Vortex Premium does more harm than good... Lack of power and much worse economy.
BP Ultimate Diesel on the other hand is fantastic stuff!! Really works!!

I know all premium diesels are basically antifoam and not as strong smelling... But there really is something different about that BP Ult. Shame I've only ever found it in Brissy

Had the 90TSI about 2 weeks now and have done 1500kms - average according to the MFD - 6.2l/100. Pretty pleased as we live in a hilly palce so my 50kms a day trip averages a round 5.8 down and 6.8 back.

2 recent notable trips - 600kms return trip to Gippsland - averaged 5.4l measured by the fill up method and a decent mixed freeway/melbourne weekend and weeks station commuting was 6.0.
