I think the 2014 Octavia RS wagon will be my next new car...
Very tempted myself, but I'm a bit worried it'll be too big. Its going to be more the size of a Passat than a Jetta. But you are getting a lot of car and performance for something that should be priced less or the same as the Golf GTI...
Went to look at the current model Octavia this arvo with the wife along with toyota, ford etc and ended up buying a Black 90TSI Special Edition Wagon. Bargain was too good to refuse.
The new model early next year was tempting to wait for but with the options we want we'd be paying far more that I would like.
Wow thanks for the responses. Clearly I have much reading to do on this dreadful 7 speed DSG. It's that notorious?
My Yeti was in for a service on Friday and I got a 7 speed Octy combi with only 2000km on it as a loan car. I was wondering what all the fuss was about but as soon as I pulled away at low speed I could feel the drivetrain shudder. Other than that it was a nice steer.

Gosh who woulda thought getting insurance would be such a pain. Quotes varying from 1000 to 1900. So hard to compare them all.
Also do u guys insure to an agreed amount at what u paid for the car exactly or for what it would cost to replace it with a new car assuming a new model has come out and is not on sale...?
