I heard the 11th, but we pretty much know what it looks like. I'm keen to see the interior and panoramic roof.

Apologies for my earlier post, it's been a horrible day and I'm totally over every one of my comments being scrutinised on here. At least I am no-where near as bad as that P-plater in a Superb and his rampage towards someone who ran up him (if everyone remembers that correctly )!

But that doesn't explain why the Jetta 2.0TSI/GLI in the US (wish we got that here...) has the same power figure as the RS, yet the GTI has more. Skoda need to do another Octavia RS-P and this time actually put it into production. They need some cool factor and I'm not sure this new Octavia will bring it (of course, we haven't actually seen it).

Which is 200hp (147kW - same as the RS/Golf GTI MkV/current Jetta 2.0TSI here). I'm not sure what you're trying to point out but sorry, I didn't know the GTI is detuned for the US.

in typical american fashion - they (in the US) use a different engine altogether than the rest of the world.

US MK5/MK6 2.0 TSI Engine
CCTA
CBFA
CCT and CBF denote the engine's mechanical structure. IE, secondary injection (CBF) vs non secondary injection (CCT). A, the 4th letter, denotes the power output for the calibration, ie both rated in the us for 207ft-lb/200hp (147kW).


ROW (rest of the world) MK6 and A3 2.0 TSI Engines
CCZA - A3, RS
CCZB - MK6
CCZ denotes the european mechanical structure.
A and B denote a software calibration change for different power levels. A has 200hp (147kW), B has 210hp (155kW).

the above belong to the new EA888 family.
the mk5 golf gti, pre-facelift RS, golf r.....all use the previous engines - the EA118.

I think that they will be the new black soon.
I'm sure I read somewhere that the new model Audi S3 uses one as well. I wonder how long it will be before you will be able to select Quiet, Sport, or teenage P Plater as sound output options in the user display?
