Would have done the same but now of course live in fear of tdi gap envy.. i need more power!!!!
The Scout is way quicker than the liberty.. i cant figure how it gets a 10.9 for the 100 k time it feels much quicker than that although I suspect it has something to do with the slightly awkward 1st to second thing
    TDI gap envy?

1st->2nd is actually pretty quick, considering.
I came to the vRS from a Kia Sorento and Kia Rio. The Rio was a manual, 5spd 1.4ltr... 1st to 2nd at 6k rpm took a good 2sec. Anything quicker and you'd hear the crunch.
With the TDI, if you can shift before you lose boost (around .7-.8sec, if I recall), its bloody quick.

Cause bloody hell, boost takes ages to build up.
2012 Octavia vRS TDI. Darkside big turbo, 3bar tune, other stuff. 200kW/650Nm.
    1990 Mk1 Cabrio. 1.9 IDI w/ 18PSI.
    1985 Mazda T3500 adventuremobile. 1973 Superbug. 1972 Volvo 144 in poo-brown.
