  • Cargo Barrier for Scout

    Hi
Does anyone know where i can get a pet barrier for the Scout in Oz? I note the older models had a roller screen like the benz wagons but am not sure if the new ones have them.
    Thanks

I got a cargo barrier for our Pajero from the guy below:

DOG GUARD CARGO PET BARRIER SKODA SUPERB COMBI 2010-ON | eBay

At the time he had cargo barriers for the 2008 on Octavia's but I notice he doesn't have any listed at the moment. It's worth messaging him on eBay and asking if he has any.

Cost was around $350 delivered to AUS and it's very solid. Much cheaper than the full cargo barriers you can buy here in AUS. It also only covers the area from the top of the rear seat to the roof was is all you really want. Also really easy to install and take out.

    Highly recommend the barrier.

    Cheers

When I picked up my Scout last week, I asked the dealer if they do a cargo barrier / dog guard as an option. He said there isn't that option available in Australia. He suggested a couple of local firms in Adelaide that could make one from scratch.

haha ^ we fit cargo barriers to scouts all the time . . . we do all the ambulance scouts which all get cargo barriers. They are a full barrier top to floor. And can also be moved to the front behind the front seats for when you want extra space with the back seats folded.

            Hi there
Could you let me know what they cost (I would prefer a full Barrier As I like the seats down so Our dogs get some air back there)
If it breaches forum rules just pm me
            Many thanks

                Hey and thanks
By Genuine you mean Skoda genuine? Any chance of either a photo or destructions on fitting.. Where does it mount etc. Price is ok just wondering if you have to drill holes etc
                Thanks

yes its skoda genuine, have no pictures atm, ive never takin any.

Holes do have to be drilled in the roof and the beam which runs at the bottom rear acrossways of your back seat, its fairly sturdy, although ive never fitted it in the most forward spot which still uses the same mounting holes but runs long bars to the cage.

Ive got none at work atm to take pictures of.

                    Hey
I figure there is little option but to drill I undertand but I was wondering whether there is an alternative (like the 1/2 cage) that doesnt require such radical measures. I am in Albury and you in Sydney which means 2 days to get up there get the cage fitted and drive back hence I am not keen on full cage. For interests sake where are the holes drilled the c pillars? I get the bit between the back seats..
Anyway it not the money.. its the drilling.
If you get one in please take some photos and contact me as i really want to visualse this before making a decision.
                    Thanks

if you open your boot and look at the roof trim at the very rear (between last pillars) it goes in front of them about 30mm.

No genuine half cage as far as i aware
