  • Skoda website fail

    Hi all
A very happy Skoda owner newbie here...but not so new that I can't tell one model from another, unlike Skoda it seems. Surely there is a reason why they have a pre-facelift Octavia RS as the main graphic on their website?

maybe the facelift of the facelift is the non-facelift?

it says so much about Skoda management & their attention to detail. I bet they've never actually bothered to try & "drive" their own website to see if it's user friendly & relevant.

Thats the MY13 model, they are dropping the current lights and going back to the more fitting angular lights. Also getting rid of the LED DRLs, and putting the MkV GTi engine back in due to issues with the timing chain in the current one (issues being they can't charge for a belt service).

that's interesting - they definately used to have a yellow facelift rs there (top of the page), and that's why i have a link in my sig to that page!
              now its "changed".......fark me

guess i better remove that link!

atleast the wagon page continues to show the facelift version.

              i've sent them an email.

its entirely possible thats the only photo they had that was suitable and approved by skoda head office. speak to someone who works in marketing, there are guidelines and procedures to follow

Awww cute, you think they respond to things [end sarcasm], Matt W did ring me up a long time ago and promised to fix some things, gave me his direct number in case I noticed that hadn't. I lost the number, and after emailing him and nothing happened, never bothered again.

                      Yay mine's new again!!!

But on a more serious note, maybe the cock up was due to it being a friday night when they did the cock up with everyone wanting to leave to go partying?

guess wat....they replied to me today! well vw customer service did. they're going to "pass it on to the relevant dept with vw for review."

bhahhaha......as usual, vw calling the shots for skoda aus. skoda aus doesn't even have their own say in the content of their websites!!! pity.

maybe this is another way for vw to sabotage skoda sales!!! hehehehehe.
