Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

The obvious question is, is it within 3 years of purchase?

You can get the dealer to suck it using a vacuum cleaner. Request a courtesy car while they do that. Beware, the dealer might crack your windscreen and you won't have a car for at least 6 weeks.

fark, normally they're on the outside

.. scares the crap out of me when they run full pelt up your windscreen, then you realise that it's on the outside

...worse when you think its running up the outside, then its still in view once its left the glass and its just above you head.

I have had soooo many spiders in cars its rediculous.... eventually you get used to it.

Last month I had a huntsman hanging out just around the rear wiper - stayed there for days..... depsite our 130km daily commute.
