Made up my mind, I want a Fabia RS

Well thats it, i've made up my mind and I want a Fabia RS when it launches here next year.

Will get it in the Wagon/Combi/Estate with Climate Control and Amundson Entertainment system.

Just waiting for Aus spec details to see how much/little the Aus delivered ones will come with standard.

Anyone else thinking the same thing (obviously not those who have an Octavia RS).

Wouldn't it have been better in the Fabia forum?

The last i read sat nav will not be an option for the Oz delivered cars. The Swing double din unit is the only sound system upgrade option. But I am hedging my bets that the Fabia RS will be delivered with Swing and climate control as standard.

No because i'm wanting to know if any other non-RS Octavia owners are thinking about them.

Dad and I were thinking about a Fabia RS but we think a Yeti 103TDI 4x4 would be a better option for us when our RS has had its time.

IMHO (and don't take it to heart please), the Fabia Combi is one of the worst proportioned cars on the market - it just looks odd! It looks mean in RS spec but they really did just stretch a Fabia hatch (unlike a similar Peugeot 207 SW - its closest rival - which has a bespoke rear). But there's no doubting the practicality and value of the car, especially as the RS Combi will likely be the similar price as a Polo GTI.

As for the Amudsen system, I'm not sure that they'll offer it here but it's always worth an ask and no doubt you could just buy one off eBay. NZ-spec Fabias are worse off than Aus-spec Fabias and their RS comes with Swing and Climatronic so ours will most likely come with the same.

Haha thats ok mate, because i really like the look of the Combi over the Hatch. Have always loved Wagons and this one suits me right down to the ground i think.

I do remember reading something somewhere that our OZ-Spec cars are pretty well specced compared to other markets. Just means less i have to spend on options that's all!!

The reason for this was i have been thinking about putting a MFSW with paddles on my Octy, Bigger wheels and a few of the Skoda body options also. Instead, i'll trade mine in on an RS which has all these and is a spanker.

Now, what Colour/wheels/roof option to go with???

You can't touch the roof colour of the Combi sorry, only the hatch. Weird huh, especially as the Roomster and Yeti can be had with a different coloured roof...

Blue with white wheels, or Red with Black wheels might be the way to go i think.

They do an anthracite as well but it doesn't appear on the user generated bitmap

That's not an RS though is it? I love that colour though.
