      So was the internals of the engine essentially the same except for the DM Forged rods?

        I'm not sure of the specifics. I only know about the DM Forged rods because I sell them (INA Engineering manufactures them) and was privvy to the info when they were testing them prior to the record runs.

        I would assume Mahle Motorsport or JE pistons at a lower compression ratio. Most likely standard crankshaft. I very much doubt that would be custom..

        As always, it would be essentially an original VW engine, with some "upgrades".
