  • Just picked up my RS Manual Liftback :)

    Hi All,

I'm new to this forum and looking forward to trawling through all the excellent posts.

I collected my brand new manual RS liftback in Race Blue from North Shore Skoda today. All I can say is that i'm absolutely stoked with this fantastic machine.

I consider myself a motoring enthusiast and it just became too hard to ignore all the positive reviews written about the RS (all Skoda models in fact). Sure I had to work hard to convince the wife however after test driving a manual wagon 2 weeks ago she was hooked. We have one child and another on the way and traded up from Citroen C4.

I have to admit a DSG would've been interesting but I got a great deal on the Manual and it's such a sweet shifter so hopefully I haven't missed out on much.

I'll be sure to post some photos over the weekend.

Dont worry, the journos have rated the manual in the octavias as one of the best and well suited to the car.

        Go the Race Blue!

Welcome to Skoda, hope your exeprience with your RS is as fantastic as mine has been (DSG wagon). It's hard not to be stoked, beautifully built, handles and goes quite superbly, very practical... it's the gift to yourself that keeps on giving!

My mate bought an Octavia 118 manual liftback, and the shift action is indeed one of the sweetest around.

          +1

DSG is nice, and my wife won't drive a manual so its a nice compromise But I test drove a manual and its pretty sweet (and I do miss the extra interaction when getting up it).

The manual is fantastic to drive when your giving her some stink, that's for sure! Still to this day, the car puts a big grin on my face every time I drive it
