Superskoda.com ....can I trust them?

Hey Skoda Fans,

I was just wondering if anyone had any bad experiences with Superskoda.com?

I've ordered a whole bunch of stuff off the site but it seems like I'm forever waiting!
Some of my stuff has come through while others are just sitting idle...
I have one part that is coming up to 7 months on back order!!!

I've tried emailing, but I never get a reply.
My next step is to get paypal onto them as they have taken my money, but delivered nothing!

Has anyone else had any bad experiences like this from this site?

I've placed a couple of orders with them. The longest I've waited for a delivery is one week, which is pretty good from Europe... They even got a part in stock for me and put it on the website for me to purchase - although they didn't reply to my email, I just happened to stumble across it while browsing a couple of days later!
7 months is way too long to wait for anything - even for a whole new car! I would talk to Paypal.

Agreed, I've just reported the problems to PayPal, lets hope they get resolved. I'd much rather the part than my money back!

NOT HAPPY!!!
Instead of just shipping my front splitter, or letting me know how long I'm looking at waiting till it's shipped (which is all I asked from paypal), Superskoda just refunded my money! SUX!
I dont want the money back, I want the parts!

This has left a real bad taste in my mouth when it comes to buying parts from OS.
Plus, another part I've been waiting for is so long gone that paypal cant do anything about it, so superskoda has effectively just robbed me of 53 Euro and there's nothing I can do about it.

Damn that sounds bad. sorry to hear mate. All i can say is, the first order I placed with them seemed to takes ages but finally got it around 5 weeks. So wasn't too happy with them since their website stated up to 10 working days or something along those lines. But was happy when the parts arrived. The second order I did was the big one with the body kit bits and damn that came in less than 2 weeks!!! Bloody quick in my books especially coming from europe. The main thing I really looked out for when browsing parts and placing into my shopping cart was to ensure the parts I wanted were indicated to be in stock. Otherwise they would usually say how long development would be or an eta. Anyway, any parts that weren't in stock i didn't order and would think long and hard before making a purchase since shipping is bloody expensive. Anyway, I'm still eyeing the honeycomb grill and a few more bits and bobs and will put the order through the moment I pay the cards off.With regards to emails, I've not had any unreplied ones. Might take a day or two but they do get back to you. I understand your frustration about wanting to get all the associated parts so the car looks complete rather than say getting sideskirts, rear skirt etc done without a front lip. Nearly happened to me about the sideskirts becasue they didnt have them 2 months ago but was lucky they were available at the time of ordering. Anyway, best of luck.

Your experience is similar to mine.

I ordered a boot matt and wind deflecters in June last year and it finally got here in october. They are terrible trying to get a response out of too (eventually the answered the 4th or 5th email). It took 3 months for them to get the parts and a month to get here. While the quality was good, honestly I wouldn't bother doing it again. Whats the point waiting 4 months?

Here's an older thread with some more info on experiences.

I sent them a number of e-mails asking if I ordered something from them and the item was therefore sent out of Europe to Australia, shouldn't I only pay the VAT-exclusive price.

When you place something in their shopping cart (even with an Australian address), the price is always the VAT-inclusive price. It seems like VAT in the Czech Republic is 20%. And then you have to add on their crazy shipping costs! There are apparently two shipping options, the really expensive option where the package probably goes by a courier service and you might get the parts within a reasonable time and then the not-as-expensive option where the package goes by like Czech Post and you might get the parts six months later as long as the Tupolev Tu-154 that they're on doesn't crash in Siberia.

Anyway, they never answered me about the VAT so I assume that they're not quite ready to give up that extra profit. And that was reason enough for me to forget about ordering anything from them.

hmmm.....guess i won't b ordering the additional cargo hook, the power bonnet lift kit, the rear protective vrs door sill covers, and the rear diffusor!!


time to find some alternate sources......
