Avoid them, have had one issue after another with our Superb. They are the single worst motor dealer i have ever dealt with. I hope all Skoda dealers are not like North Shore otherwise it will be my first and last.
Please expand on what happened as a first post without detail is usually taken with a grain of salt - especially after a couple of regulars appear to have a polar opinion.
carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
No Problem, I will keep it to the main issues to save space.
Firstly We were told twice the car had arrived and then was being prepared, only to be called back later to say it was someone else's car. Cause inconvenience as we had to reschedule a weekend away.
Once we took delivery It was obvious to me they had not done a thorough pre delivery check as reversing camera option they had fitted didn't work and washer fluid light came on instantly (fluid was leaking out). Now it is been sitting with the dealer for the last three days to have the washer fluid reservoir replaced said it would be ready yesterday, went to pick it up this morning and it won't be ready till monday. They didn't even have the decency to give us a phone call, we only found out when we went this morning to pick it up.
There were other smaller issues, with accessories and MDI cable etc,
I have had issues with new cars before, but usually the dealer goes over and above to make it right. Normally the delivery of a new car is a great experience, in this case it has been anything but.
Bought mine from Northshore Skoda & would not recommend them.
When my car finally arrived at their dealership after the long wait, they said it was going to take up to 8 days for them to do pre-delivery... One of my mates works for Holden at the same dealership, so I phoned him and even he said it was crazy & they were just being lazy. He then took over the delivery & organised the car to be ready that same day.
I would give the dealership at Pennant Hills a go, have heard good things, especially because they are also a VW dealer.

Sorry to hear it. I have had excellent dealings with them, all the way through test driving the cars through to pre-delivery and post delivery. The let me try several cars, even organised to move a car out of their show room so I could do a test drive. When my car came in, pre-delivery only took 2 days and they even loaned me a car while it was being pre-delivered.
Even offered to drop my car off for me when I was running late to pick it up from a service. (I do live close by though)

Had a similar experience. Very positive experience with these guys. Went to Barloworld to look at VWs and got ignored. When I went to Northshore, they organised a test drive for me within 10 mins. Sealed the deal the next day and took delivery of my car the following week.
I guess each dealer would generate positive and negative experiences.

Absolutely agree there - Pennant Hills is worth going to. We test drove a Superb 125TDI there on the weekend and their customer service was excellent (far better than Subaru at Hornsby - not happy with that lot at all ) I've been there a couple of times to have a look around, and Milan the sales manager has always been helpful - wasn't fussed that we were test driving, and would be leasing, not actually purchasing. Would highly recommend them. The Audi dealership next door is excellent as well - we also test drove an A4 1.8T on the weekend. If I were replacing my car today it would be from Alto.

I don't know what people expect when they buy new cars.
But I have bought probably 6 or so over the last 4 years, and it's pretty much the same routine wherever you go.
Look at car, decide to buy, shuffled off to paint protection idiot, then finance, wait, pick up car with run down of features, drive off.
I would call myself an educated buyer, I have normally always done my homework beforehand, and almost without fail uneducated salesman would be my biggest gripe, but I find this more amusing than a put off.
Drove a Skoda superb last week, salesman nice guy but he was a newsagent 3 weeks ago, the Golf I bought at Xmas the salesman was from Kenya, nice guy but no knowledge, ford g6e I looked at last year salesman told me there was 13 differences between it and the non turbo "oh ok, what are they?" .....ummm I don't know....the turbo? Haha funny stuff but frustrating I guess.
No, I expect nothing when I buy a car, I don't want to be pampered, I just want to know what he's got how quick he can get it and how much.....get in get what I want get out.....much like the rest of my shopping really

I concur.... I just want a test drive and a good change over price without having to battle with a salesman for 2-4hrs. And I don't want to have to deal with the bloody Ming Mole before placing my deposit.
When I pick it up I want to clean, functioning and a fuel tank of fuel.
