    All very sound advice.

It hasn't gotten worse, just done it ever since i got the car.

Am thinking about putting the Anti-lift kit in anyway to see if it reduces tramp. Even if it doesnt will firm up turn in a little and make it a bit more precise.

Bluefin should be here tomorrow or Monday, depends if DHL get their act together!

If i do (which is likely) install the anti-lift kit, i will report back with a thread to detail how it goes.

    Thanks again everyone.

I have a Stage 1 APR Mk6 Golf 118 TSI + SprintBooster, and I've had axle tramp a few times when trying to get a quick start in wet/greasy conditions (stock Hankook tyres). I just have to baby it through the short 1st gear, and then I'm usually ok to put the foot down a bit more. Taking the foot off the brake a bit earlier also helps a tiny bit as the HSA stops clinging.

I had it badly too especially when using launch control.

SEMI-SOLUTION: New tyres: Bridgestone Potenza Adrenaline RE002
Super grippy, and around $820 a pair.
Just installed them on the front two tyres and there is a noticeable difference.
Mind you, I still shudder with ESP on, but not as much.

        FYI:
Just got my 15,000 km service and they had to replace the ABS control module... could have something to do with it.

You say they changed the ABS Module - Was the car showing a fault or was it picked up during the service check ?

Warning lights were coming up, the (ABS) & (!) ones. Then it said something like "Stability control failure!" , "Get your arse to the dealer" etc...

Luckily, I was already booked in for Tuesday mourning!

Runs like a dream now, not sure what else they did during the service to make it less jerky between 1-2-3 gears?
Might have just needed to clear the error log. But I haven't experienced such smooth gear changes in D since I bought it.

I've had "tramp" a few times, but mostly get wheel spin. I find it happens when I've got wheels at lock, I actually figured its probably the ESP and traction control fighting to set things right rather than tramp.

Never had tramp with launch control, it seems to allow slip. Mind you, I rarely use launch control, it's not exactly mechanically sympathetic

A lot of front wheel drive cars suffer from axel tramp. Lay off the go fast pedal. Even if you dont get the shudder, it means wheel spin which isn't fast anyway.

When I have had it before, it normally happens when the wheel breaks into severe wheelspin like when you take off in the wet and go over a drain cover. In the dry, even when I really get up it, I try to do it smoothly as possible and you only really get a little 'chirpy'.
