  • 90TSI driveaway pricing

So the Octavia 90TSI is available for $24990 driveaway at the moment. I am currently trying to decide between the Octavia and the Golf and this driveaway deal is a big factor.

I know VW should at least be able to discount about $2000 but I was wondering if the driveaway deal means that Skoda dealers would be unable to discount further or would that still be possible?

I was in the same boat right before they officially announced the driveaway deal and it was only a month or so prior to that, that I had purchased an Octavia RS off the same dealer. They said that due to the already discounted price, they simply have no room to move and at most only consider a few accessories or a tiny discount due to their recognition of my recent car purchase off them. Was pretty cose to buying one last week but ended up getting somethig else since the thought of having 2 Octavias in the driveway would bore me to death as it was only a few year ago that I had 2 honda Jazz's parked int he driveway and I was desperate to get rid of one hence the Polo Gti LOL...

One motoring writer has described the Skoda Octavia 90TSI as "the prestige car bargain of the century" and I think that was even before Skoda introduced the driveaway pricing... so I seriously doubt you'll get a lower deal than $24,990 on a manual 90TSI liftback.

When you compare it to direct competition like the Golf, let alone say a Holden Cruze, the 90TSI is already quite impressive on the value front.

You could get a Golf 77TSI for that price, but I doubt a 90TSI...

Quote today's Drive at them as a reason to offer you a deal:

"Volkswagen's Czech brand, Skoda, continues to make progress with an 89 per cent increase for the month, though with only 529 vehicles sold to date in 2011 it still has much work to do before becoming a significant player in the market."
