don't think so - the front grill is different. honeycomb (last year) vs slats (this year).
unless ofcourse they reverted it back to the original stock grill.

rego plates are the same & I can't see anything special/custom about them.

Maybe they went back to stock grill because people wanted to buy the honeycomb & it wasn't available?

              buggered if i know really.

That honeycomb grill is not that great anyway, I have seen a better version on superskoda.com - the one shown above does nothing for the Octavia, much prefer the slats.

Personally, I like the new colour scheme better then the old

That orange is a lot like the Euskatel Euskadi cycling team colours. IMHO they had the best looking support cars in last year's Tour de France. I reckon it's a straight brand recognition crossover thing: get the footy lads and bike nerds in one hit!

                  More orangey goodness:

I wonder what sort of sponsorship deal they're getting from carsales. Would be nice if they could get some extra brand presence on the carsales website.

Just found this on the Targa site. Pretty good start. It's the prologue event to set staring positions.

I was supposed to be at Targa this year filming for a mate driving a bug eye'd WRX, but work had other ideas.......
Would have been good to get down there and do some filming, could have gotten some good footage of the Skoda as well.
