The Premium model hardly seems worth bothering with for $4000 extra - leather seats, sunroof & electric drivers seat. Instead of that they should bring the AWD diesel Superb to Australia.
Well, mine arrives in a few weeks and I'm looking forward to it! After riding in a friend's Outback, I think the Scout has just a wee bit more leg room.

Not mention better looking
I have been liking the Scout more and more lately. Seen a few on the road, couple around my area actually and they look great!
I liked what they said about the twisty roads and the Scout's road holding. I drove from Canberra to Batemans Bay last Saturday and this fluro green SS ute loomed up behind me outside of Braidwood but once we got into the windy bits he ended up sitting about four car lengths behind me the rest of the way, he never tried to pass me but we passed everything. Main diff was I used 1/2 of the fuel he used

Better rear seat width than the 2004-2009 model, and similar (maybe a touch more, but not much) rear seat legroom (I replaced an 04 Outback with my Scout, and did test drive the 2010 Outback as well). The 2010- Outback has more rear seat legroom than the Scout.
Agreed the Scout is a much better looking vehicle, inside and out. Better drive to, comparing 2.5i Outback to diesel Scout
I had friends go into their nearby dealer and order one of the Premium models early last week and now that they have heard that the Yeti is coming in July, they are going back tomorrow to change their order. Good to see more Skoda models being made available in Australia.

After taking the RS on dirt roads for a camping trip last weekend, and trying to squeeze in gear for me and no. 2 son, maybe the Scout might be the next purchase. The RS is a great car on the road, but sometimes loses out on the practicality front.

I bought the RS wagon for that reason. Had a weekend away recently, and had no trouble loading everything in for 4 adults, and I could even still close the luggage blind.

i'm guessing u talking bout the off road capabilities.....
i just noticed the scout comes with a "grab handle" for the front seat passenger to "hold on"!! would that actually work? would u actually lean forward and hold on to the bar "whislt driven over uneven surfaces"?!?!

My wife's never used it for that purpose - and I enjoy driving quickly on rougher roads!

Having just *#^$ed my knee, I use it get of the car, which I can't drive ATM
You need pretty long arms when in motion but I like it, it is kind of a cute gesture and frankly the ones in Prados etc aren't much more use.
