Yes it is an STi now that I took the time to look, lol. Have gone off Subaru's since I ordered a Skoda! I have also seen a green and a yellow background ones as well, so I would assume some one else apart from Subaru are making them available. Color matching Skoda badges would be good and something a little different for the brand.Originally posted by woofy View PostI'm guessing its the STi badge, hence being pink.
I hear that Skoda have a new advertising campaign kicking off on the 13th of March. So it will interesting to see whats ads they come up with. I finally saw the Volkswagen ad on TV tonight. I suppose I don't need to watch it off the home page anymore lol.

Fair enough . . . can't help noticing though that overseas sites have been updated . . . okay I admit it I'm impatient . . . just hate to see good cars not getting their due credit . . . I still talk to people who don't know what Skodas are, or at least remember them as "those Russian things" . . . marketing has been big in Adelaide because of the bike races, but Sydney has the biggest potential market and we hardly hear "boo" in Sydney . . . oh well mine arives soon . . . well soonishOriginally posted by Jake02 View PostThey won't update it (the logo) on the website yet because the cars get the badges next year

Hopefully they update the whole site and not just the logo. There seems to be a lot more detail on the overseas sites. I find their isn't much detail on the Australian site about the accessories that are available. I have hit the overseas sites to find out details about the accessories. So hopefully an update isn't too off.

I think they may have been confusing Lada with Skoda. My late father told my son once that Ladas had heated rear windows so you could keep your hands warm while pushing them.Originally posted by jayen View PostI still talk to people who don't know what Skodas are, or at least remember them as "those Russian things"MY10 Golf MkVI 103TDI United Grey

Actually, the Niva was surprisingly OK for its time - the Samara a pile of stinking poo......
The Niva's were OK in rallying here, weren't they?

Hang on a tick . . . I had a Samara during my uni days (all I could afford) and I can personally vouch for them as a decent cheap car. The story behind their import is interesting but this isn't the forum. They were easy to work on if you had to, and like any bit of machinery it required a reasonable maintenance regime . . . and of course like any other car if the mechanic was careless then you might have problems. After two mechanic installed water pumps, I did the third myself and never had a water pump problem again . . . never took it to a mechanic again either. But the plastic in them was terrible and lasted only a few months in Australian conditions. I'll admit it wasn't a great car but it did ride and handle okay. I don't know much about the Niva but a bloke I used to work with saw one while he was out bush bashing in his Land Cruiser and was surprised at their capability.Originally posted by Inego View PostHey, Brocky used to import Ladas - they must be good
