Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I'd personally like to see a grey RS as the only one I've ever heard of is K1W1's. But if you want bright, go for a yellow or race blue one! TSI definitely, add xenons, MDI and leather and it'd be perfect I think!

not that i'm being biased - but def a yellow vrs
they'd look awesome on a dealer showroom floor.

      plenty of blue ones around.

Whatever you order will be sold before it hits the showroom floor anyway.

Another dealer still has a pre face lift yellow RS in stock that wont move. Yellow is a love it or hate it colour. I d like to see a white lift back with dark tint and black wheels, like the PSP wagon.

From my experience the Race blue never sits around.. reason its everywhere is that its a great colour on that shape.

In the end i could have auctioned my 07 RS wagon... still made a profit of its sale anyway. Race blue for the win!
Options?? Your call on that one!

If you have a white RS on the floor then from a dealer perspective i would think you would go with your Hero colour being Blue, definitley add Leather, Sunroof, Xenon's and the MDI to show the technology via your Itunes through the SatNav, the whole package is pretty impressive, i'd throw in front sensors as well.

Blue is probably the fasting move colour I would suspect, Mine had just got to the dealer with front sensors and sunroof and race blue. I bought it the day it appeared. You could see it at the dealer through the glass for miles. I've noticed a few yellows hanging around for a while. I stay away from Yellows and reds somewhat as well, as the paint pigments fade quite fast in Australia.

White or Race Blue wagon with leather & sunroof. Can't go wrong and covers most people. I reckon someone who wants yellow will drive the car regardless and go yeah, YELLOW, so I don't see any point in having one for a test drive.

I love Yellow cars but realise they aren't for everyone. Some of the dealers just about gave away pre-FL yellow RS sedans about 6 months after I bought my Elegance.

I'd go either race blue or white as dark colours like black or grey don't appeal to me (but plenty out there that do like them) and dark colours + summer = fail.

I could have got a fantastic deal on a black Elegance with sunroof but the colour killed it for me.

leave out the sunroof - too expensive & hot over summer.

i'd even be inclined to drop the leather unless you know the car will be parked in the shade (my girls hate the leather in our calais as it burns the backs of their legs).

Xenon headlights & front park sensors would be my pick but I'm not sure what options are available these days AS SKODA'S WEBSITE IS STILL OUT OF DATE!!!!

Pre FL = pre face lift.... I have been meaning to ask but no need now!!

I may be biased but I still think Race Blue is the pick of the bunch and probably better resale if that is a consideration. I am not a big yellow fan although I think either white or grey could be a huge hit if you could dish out to paint your rims gloss black.

true that - yellow is nice to look at, but not for the faint-hearted!!
7 out of 10 ppl will say "that looks nice". and only 1 out of 10 will actually buy a yellow one!

my dealer, Colin, is itching to get a yellow as a floor stock model, but he knows they're hard to sell. he loves the color to death, but selling it......

                            with regards to variants.....
one with all the bells & whitles (sunroof, leather, satnav etc) would b good, and another with no options at all. that way the customer can compare between the two. also 1 petrol & 1 diesel. i remember i had to wait a couple of months before i could testdrive a petrol dsg model. they had diesels, but none in petrol variant.
