  • Voice control not working

    Hi All,

Could someone please tell me if it is true that Voice control has to be enabled for it to work. I own a 2010 Skoda VRS with columbus unit and find that it does not accept any commnads after pressing the voice button, which has been the case since purchased new.

I have recently received my car and it too has a Columbus unit.
When i was playing with the unit the other night i'm sure i came across Voice Control after pressing the SETUP button. Take a look and see if it can be switched off and on.

If you press the top right button (looks like a microphone i think) for about 1 second the system will ask for your command. If it does not then maybe it is deactivated or you have a fault on the unit.

I would also recommend reading the manuals if you have them as you can pick up some great tips.

    Hope this helps

thx for reply...The problem is when i try and tell the command after the voice command is pressed on the steering or unit it is like my mic is not connected to the unit as she does not accept the command. I was told that the mic needs to be connected to the voice activation which i found strange. I will be taking to dealer soon, however thought ill check with others first to see if they have the problem..

I have now problems with mine it all seems to work ok and i think the microphone is part of the unit, so if it not getting recognised i recon you have a fault.
