Congratulation, good choice. Scout would be my option if they had DSG at the time when we were buying Tiguan.

I would have preferred DSG but who can knock back a $10,000 discount on a MY10! Love the diesel engine even though its a PD. May need a little more soundproofing. Has a few things the Passat didn't have eg iPod connectivity (Aux-in), touchscreen etc

If you wanna do a lot of start, start driving, get the manual. There will be no 5 year old DSG cars that still drive.

Could you please explain this a bit more. Sounds like DSG doesn't like stop start driving?

You have to remember there are still Manual clutches in it.. its not a slushbox at all.

The clutch pack is going to wear quickly in lots of city driving.
