I've been wondering the same thing only because I think it would look great. I was thinking leather where the black cloth stuff is but I've just been too lazy to do anything about it.

I like the function of the black mesh, as it grips better than straight leather, and stops the sliding, the alacantra works well too and both avoid the sliding and hot seat issues with straight leather. But the furry worries me in a car this young.

I can say that I don't slip my factory leather seats because they are contoured to perfection. In fact I have to take the wallet out of my back pocket because it digs in and is uncomfortable. I suppose having a fat arse gives me more grip but I like to think it is the contouring......

          haha +1

I like the leather, but that one is definitely personal choice. I know people that asolutely despise leather and they'll put up a good argument against it. Who would have thought it'd be so polarising

I assume that you know that men sitting on their wallet during their life is the major cause of males needing hip replacements.

No need to worry. Wife V1.0 makes sure that it's a very thin wallet.

Took, my RS in today to get the tow bar control unit replaced and mentioned that i have the same problem with the drivers seat - the mesh fluffing in the bottom right area. Haven't worn anything to "grab/wear" the material and had a good chat with them about it as to possible causes. Anyway, Picked it up this afternoon and have been told it wont be replaced under warranty, but will be replaced as a "good will gesture". I'm happy with that.
They are getting in the new cover and will re-trim the seat once it comes in.
For the guys who haven't had this problem ( the guys with the mesh inserts that is ) - did you get fabric protection on your seats??

Ha ha , no I didn't see a fabric prtoection box either but just thought I'd ask if it may help protect against some abrasion ( I doubt it, but you never know) ??

Also I see you found the Skoda cartoons from one of the links I posted a little while ago - everyone should be able to get a copy of their car in the cartoon format.

It's usually the female person who comes to talk with you at the sales desk after you have signed on the dotted.

I was actually going to fabric protect it, but the seat heating bit underneath put me off it. My worry would be that they all do it whether people notice or not and even replacing it won't stop it coming back.

With the last couple of cars, I've had a condition on taking the negotiated price, which is that they didn't waste both our time by trying to sell me aftersales crap! Some dealers sour a sale being really pushy...

That said, I once bought an X-Trail and had an argument about seat scotchgarding. At the time Nissan was saying the seats were "dirt resistant".... So that was my complaint. Why scotchgard it!!! Turns out the aftersales girl was right in this instance Nothing some good quality seat covers couldn't fix.
