Fair enough - but I know when I went to a VW dealership I looked in the Tiguan boot and immediately started working out how I could afford a Passat. I switched to an Outback from a Golf for child paraphenalia reasons, and the Tiguan boot looked no bigger than the Golf. It was almost another Outback for me until I decided ont eh Scout.

I didn't mention the sliding rear seat but we moved it forward and it was still pretty limiting. What turned us really off was the deceptive pricing, any accessory was an exorbitant amount, and on roads were crazy. At least they have to show on road pricing, cause even though it started the same price as the Forester and the X trail once dealer delivery was added in, it jumped a lot.

If it was just my wife and I I probably would have gone the 147 Tiguan, although the made in SA thing worried me. Now we have a 2 yr old and another coming, I'm glad I went the Octy hatch. Thinking now about getting a Superb next car switch around due to it as well, so may end up with two Skodas in the next two years.
