Is a CR diesel engine worth waiting for?

Price for this model was $38990, total $49430 with all the options. Given that it was used for a bike race car and probably a factory demo after that (I have read a review of a model exactly kitted out like this, so most likely this exact car) I reckon it sold for high $30k's, mid $30k's if he was lucky.

He had someone looking at it this morning so I reckon it's gone.

While $38990/$49430 were the RRP prices, at the time in 2008, the street price for the basic car & options was somewhat discounted. I think my car was initially priced out at around $34k, they dropped all the ORCs $3.5k) almost straight away & then proceeded to inflate the price of the trade-in as an extra bonus. This is why i say the basic elegance wagon was $33k plus all the options.

I think an AWD wagon would be a nice bit of kit if power/torque output was up near 150kw/300Nm.

The people that saw it this morning bought it for the $25,000. Oh well, more time to save for a better one.
