Powertrain Uprgades (And These Are Pretty Important Too...)

Skoda: Powertrain Updates for 2011MY Octavia, Yeti and Superb - Carscoop

Skoda have upgraded drivetrains for the 2011 model year, and the gist the 4WD 2.0TDIs (103kW) are being made available with the DSG tranny. Yetis and Scouts are effected by that change. The Superb get the RS' engine (2.0TSI) and I hope they replace the 1.8TSI with that here! It also seems that Scouts might get the 125kW 2.0TDI from the RS, so I hope they're making the RS more special...Skoda Aus I know that you know you need the Scout DSG and with the Yeti 2.0TDI available in DSG I think it's time you brought them both here! Yetis are available with the 92kW 1.4TSI so they could bring that here instead of the 1.2TSI! Good

In other news, two tuned RS' (Fabia/Octavia) are being unveiled at the GTI Owners Meeting in Austria. Not much is known aboutthem but they do look good (fluro yellow wheels etc).

Well there goes any towing capability in the Auto Diesel's then (due to DSG).
I'm all for better fuel economy but not if i have to sacrifice the functionality of the rest of the car.

Would be good to get the boosted power though.

I saw pics of these on Briskoda... The fabia looks quite mean, but the fluro yellow wheels look terrible on the octavia IMHO.

If the Scout had had a 125 KW engine 8 or 9 months ago I'd be driving one now.
