Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • PDC Display on Bolero and other

Something that has been happening the last few days - not sure if its a setting that has been changed somehow or something for the service department.

    1) and most obvious, the bolero display of the PDC has stopped working - initially it was intermittent - i couldn't really put any pattern to it but it would work sometimes and then it wouldn't and now it doesn't - this screams service department to me

    2) when i was checking the times for the SD card, i could turn the key to the off point in the ignition but as long as the keys were in the ignition the radio would keep working, while i was checking the PDC display i've now noticed that when the ignition is turned to off, thats it, no more tunes?

So firstly, not sure if anyone has come across this before (I've searched for this forum and google and nothing obvious), has come up, or if the two things are linked, and wrt the radio and ignition position- which situation is the norm - for the radio to keep going while the key is in the ignition or only when its turned on?

    Many thanks

That's how mine works. As long as the key is in the ignition noise comes from the radio.
