Had mine tinted. I was not sure how they would look with the Anthracite but I think that they have come up alright.
the view out seems okay as well
Nice one K1W1, did you go through richmond skoda's recommendation with tintacar? I've had mine done to which looks a treat, I'll post photos once I get the wheels done next week
I ended up going direct but they gave me the same price. Did you choose midnight express, I was hesitant thinking it would be too dark but when I saw it on a black Audi being prepped in front of mine there was no second thoughts...
My thoughts too when I picked mine up I thought the car (having lowered sports suspension) was going to sit like what you see in the adverts Skoda are currently running around town for the RS - 'better convince your better half' (see skoda aust's website). I said to the dealer how come my car doesn't sit like that when I pointed it out...he just looked at me with blank face
I'm hesitant in putting other springs in since it was supposed to have 'sports suspension'...
A bit off topic, does the Octavia have the OEM Microphone position in the overhead console like on VW's? If so, you could move your microphone from the top of the A-Pillar to this OEM position. Just a thought...

There is an interesting thread on this in Mk6 forum. Most are saying the Formula 1 tint is the way to go. Alot of them were going off the Midnight Express as Tint A Car was saying the Formula 1 was better quality I think......please don't quote me on that.
Having said that the car looks great. And what's wrong with the Mafia?

I was looking at doing the formula 1 but it actually looked close to the factory version already on the car just a bit darker. It is also more expensive but the UV properties and heat reduction are just the same as the midnight express.
If you want the ducks nuts they have a 'bolle' version which was about an extra $250. But like I said earlier after seeing the Audi that was being done that sold it for me.
Looks great K1W1!
I went Midnight Express also, but direct through Tint-A-Car in Nth Melb and a lil bit darker than a dealer would do.
IMO, I felt the Bolle tint had a green tinge to it which i didn't like.
Swinging me more and more to get a FL white RS LB, def dark tint and paint rims black..ie: RS-P!
p.s. Another write up about the RS-P in the Feb TOP GEAR Australia mag.
Cheers,
Jayse.

I'm thinking of getting the sunroof tinted more. My aftermarket Hollandia I had fitted years ago to a previous car never let heat in, but the VAG ones seem to.
Just got my car tinted. Its one of the metal based films called "sonic" which is supposed to reduce heat by 70+% which is a good thing with a black car!
I figured that having an external aerial I wouldn't get any problems with radio reception and that seems to be the case. Also its not too dark looking out from the inside
