  • Skoda Head Office not helpful...

I was enquiring on Skoda's website to their customer care people in their head office about bluetooth for the Octavia a few weeks ago (after reading the forums here I've got a good idea now, and know what options are available), but I couldn't believe the response I got

Has anybody else tried contacting them for any sort of info?

    This the response I got:

"Thank you for your enquiry regarding Bluetooth compatibilityfor your Skoda Octavia RS.

Please accept our sincere apology as regrettably, we do not hold this type of information here at the Skoda Customer Care Centre. That said, we do have this type of information readily available by speaking with the highly trained Sales personnel at your local authorised Skoda retailer. They will be able to provide you with details of compatibility of Bluetooth kits with your specific requirements.

You can obtain all the relevant contact details of your local retailer by visiting our website www.skoda.com.auand by clicking on the ‘locate a dealership’ tab.

Should you find for any reason that you havebeen unable to locate the information you have requested then please don't hesitate to contact us on the number below, Monday to Friday, 08:30 till 17:30 (EST) and you can be assured we will endeavour to obtain the information on your behalf in a timely manner.

Thank you for your enquiry and we wish you many years of happy and safe motoring."

    What was the specific query?

It's not the best response I must say but having dealt with other car manufacturers over the years I'm not surprised by it.

You did well, the only response I ever got was about local dealers, all other questions mysteriously disappeared.
