Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

The Skoda ones are really easy... Pull a lever, lift another and then pull the whole headlight assembly off a bit. Then unplug the 1 large connector, and you can take the whole assembly to your desk and work in relativel comfort, changing the bulbs.
Do the reverse to put it back in, with a bit of wiggling if you forget how you pulled off, and don't forget to plug the connector. You don't even have to be a contortionist to change the bulbs like in the GTI
It's a snap!

I bought Philips H7 55w X-tremePower from Autobahn for $84. Interestingly, these bulbs are standard in the car as I checked the part code on the existing blown bulb. Here I was thinking I would be getting an improvement, however Skoda ship with decent bulbs to begin with.
The original bulb lasted 14 months only.MY10 Skoda Octavia vRS Wagon 2.0 TSI 6sp Man
