  • A potentially stupid question...

Does anybody with a facelifted Octavia know what the blue bulbs in the headlamp assembly (just above the "Octavia logo") are for?

    The Park lights....

One switch of the headlight gauge would be park lights, then the next for the head lights?

I would change the bulbs to orange so when the park lights are on they're orange like american cars!

I should have mentioned I have an RS, the park light turns the LEDs on at 50%.

Perhaps on the other Octavias, they are park lights? Anyone know for sure?

Oh, and nice shots on the web site Matt.

So you actually have to turn the park lights on to have the LED's on? Or can they just be switched on with out parkers on?

When the lights are in 'A' (eg Auto in the dial - Off, Auto, Parkers and Low-Beam) the daytime running lights (the LEDs) are always on. When put onto Parkers they are at 50% because DRLs are meant to replicate the brightness of Low Beam.

Very nice website by the way, especially the Bruno pics

Thank you Jake02 - it was a crazy night in Sydney with his arrival. The police had to block off the whole road, as us media rather than staying in our allocated media positions - we all ran towards Bruno and it went crazy from there.
