Finally picked it up - photographic proof

Congratulations! Nice to drive? So glad we ordered that colour, very lushicous. Man they sit high for a lowered car, do the drop much?

Took the wagon for a run down the peninsula yesterday and I've got to say first impressions are awesome, the only gripe I have is that I was sucked in by all the press images showing the car sitting just off its rubber. The car sits with around a 2" gap between car and rubber

Also found out after playing with the remote, it doesn't come with retracting mirrors, but you can open / close windows and sunroof.

I think that was discussed before. The earlier models had the retracting mirrors but they disappeared some time between when I was told they would be included and when the updates actually arrived. I think they are in the same left over parts place as the steering wheel controls for the manual trans vehicles.

BTW I think the rain sensor for the wipers may actually be able to close open windows and the sunroof. I'll have to try it at some stage.

As far as the height is concerned I'm actually happy with mine. It's noticeably higher than the S3 and imo much easier to get into and out of.

When I had gone back to the dealer some time after I had placed the order he was showing me on the standard Octavia facelift the retracting mirrors, which I though was cool since I have a narrow carport. Just a bummer when I went to retract them...

I think height wise it could be dropped at least an inch. It rides well over bumps, firm but not to hard but steering could be a tad more responsive. That might be just the case of getting use to the steering though.
