how many airbags does an octavia vrs have?

I see two labels at the A pillars, one on the dash, one on the steering wheel, and one on the side of each seat. Makes 6, is that right?

in my old golf tdi, I counted 10: A, B, dash+steering, seats and C pillars. Is that another VW->skoda cost corner-cut?

You're getting a little confused there... your old Golf had 6, not 10. Just because an "AIRBAG" symbol is on each pillar, doesn't mean there's an individual airbag in each area. Your old Golf and the vRS are the same: driver/passenger front airbags (2), front seat side airbags (2), full length curtain airbags (2).

I haven't looked in ours, but in our 6 both front and rear pillars were labelled, I think they label them all so you don't put anything there in the way of it later on.
