    Why wouldn't they?

Any mech will stamp or sign your log book if they carry out the service as per the book (I always did). The only time I refused was when the client only wanted half the work done but everything ticked off to look good.

VW Village certainly did - unlike Rick Damelians (at that time the Skoda dealer) which did the 15k service.

Hey, how did you go with this mate? I'd like to get it serviced by them for convenience, but had issues with them the first time around.

Mine was toward the high end of that with no sufficient explanation hence (with a few other issues) I started to look past Richmond.
Mentone were cheaper, but that was exclusive of brake fluid change at 2 yrs if that coincided. Richmond have always had free courtesy cars, usually the same car or better. From memory I had a wheel alignment as well at the 2yr/30k mark. This year there is the big 4 yr one as well as what still looks like a belt change. Last year it was going to be around2k all up, but everytime I have asked they have promised a set of brake pads and a few other things thrown my way to make up for the for years servicing. I've probably paid for those already with the price hikes Zagames added on.....even the cheapest service which was around $300 odd there (15/45k) has gone up well over a $100 without much explanation why.

Just had the 45k done at Camberwell VW. Cost just over $400 for the service itself, probably similar to Richmond but Richmond couldn't do for 2 weeks + and Camberwell was next day. Not keen on ordering spare parts unfortunately (but will if have to), but certainly know the mechanicals no problem. Confirmed my suspicion of a slight intercooler pipe leak and replaced the hose. Happy overall with what they did.

I work pretty much right next door to them, I asked them years ago about servicing it and they didn't want to...back then the Bayford part of them existed though so maybe they weren't allowed to steal from their own Skoda dealer....I'll tell you what the mechanics there sure thrash the customers cars, they for some reason need to take a lot of Golf Rs and GTis out for "road tests" a lot that involves some tyre screeching...

Ultratune, $244, as per log book for 30k service. Easy.

I guess you just need to ask
                  what brand of oil filter
                  what brand/grade of oil
How are you scanning for fault codes.

It's not like it's a technically difficult process.

I'd love to see them thrashing my lowly 77kw TDI. In fact you probably couldn't tell it was being hammered. Regardless it has so far come back unharmed so not worried TBH, in fact it spends so much time stuck in traffic a damn good thrashing is exactly what it needs

But yes, they will service Skoda after telling you they don't sell them in the Bayford group any more.

$565 at Nepean Motor Group. Didn't even try to rort me with extras this time (other than the price). Damn you convenience

My own fault, I need to read the fine print on the 6 year warranty and decide if its worth continuing to service there.

And I forgot to ask them NOT to wash the car

Yep just had mine done at Nepean Motor Group too, came to $537 (they tried to sell me on a $98 anti-bacterial treatment for the air-con.. errr no thanks).

The extra 3 yr warranty is why I get the scheduled services done there, with the DSG being my key concern once the initial 3yr warranty period expires. I figure the premium I pay for annual dealer servicing could end up being cheap insurance should something happen in years 4, 5 or 6 of my ownership, touch wood.

Oh and I rmbrd to tell them not to wash it!!

BTW they gave me a diesel Yeti (demo model) as a courtesy car, only had 2K on the clock, that was interesting to drive..not my kind of vehicle but there's a fair amount of room in that boxy cabin I must say!!

Hmmm - $30 cheaper. They wouldn't even haggle with me! However, the first call was $598 so maybe its random price servicing...

The good news is I looked at the car closely and I don't think they added any swirl marks with the wash. (then proceeded to drop my mountain bike on the rear bumper) good times....
