Some of the bits would be nice, but the rear brace sort of negates the main reason for buying a wagon in the first place (load space).
I can't see Skoda Oz being allowed to offer the remap as a "factory" option, as it would steal too many sales from the Golf GTI and even the sporty Audi 3 models (but if it was available as a road legal, insurable option I'd have one in a flash (pun intended ).
I see it as more like a show car, built to attract attention that can then be diverted to the cars they do actually sell.
2017 MY18 Golf R 7.5 Wolfsburg wagon (boring white) delivered 21 Sep 2017, 2008 Octavia vRS wagon 2.0 TFSI 6M (bright yellow), 2006 T5 Transporter van 2.5 TDI 6M (gone but not forgotten).
While some individual equipment items may turn up on Skoda's options list, the RS-P is unlikely to be offered as an adjunct to the mainstream Octavia range.
VW: it aint just a car, its a way of life There are few things more satisfying in life than finding a solution to a problem and implementing it

Just need to buy a BMC CDA Air box, visit a good quality exhaust centre, and visit the boys at Oettinger in canberra and you'd have a more potent engine. Then maybe jump on line and buy some coil overs from Europe and away ya go, make it more a personal set up.
I'm looking forward to getting my Silver vRS wagon hopefully late next week or the week after. Then i just have to convince the wife that the car need's a little "tweaking" to make it more personal. ha ha ha ha not likely
If there is anyone with common sense high up in Skoda they will make this car happen. It should be 4 Motion and 220kw 420nm, this would give the product the much needed DESiRABLE factor needed for any product to survive. I saw someone write a post talking about Skoda being the 'sensible' choice and as much as that works for analytical people the majority of the people in the general public by things based on emotion, how else to explain inferior product similar prices selling hand over fist e.g. Zoom Zoom Zoom!!!
Don't talk about it and then procrastinate about it becuase no one has the balls to make a decision without 3 years of demographical surveying and blah blah blah.
Build it and they will come, a 220kw mid sized AWD well built wagon around $60k, you would have to beat them off with a stick!!!!
Lol - thats awesome but funny at the same time - they have their Alcon rotors on backwards
While there is a preferred direction of rotation, sometimes slotted discs work better when fitted the wrong way eg: you want the slots to force the pads outwards rather than inwards.
I've done this a couple of times when the customer started getting a clonk on brake application because the caliper frames weren't as tight as the should be.
I don't believe that reversing the direction of rotation has a noticeable effect on braking performance or the wiping/degassing effect of the slots.
carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
