    hey skoda boys...
    anyone driving 1.9 TDI Ambient?
Please share your opinion of the experience? Weight of the vehicle is not too heavy for a 77kwt engine?
    Thanks

I have no idea about the diesels but if it is then there are plenty of tuning options for the 1.9 that will bring it up to nearly 100kw.

So what is the street price for that? Manual I assume?

      Welcome aboard Sam.

Whether the 1.9 TDI has enough power or not depends on what acceleration you want (and how much load you intend to carry). That engine has a reasonable amount of torque, so it pulls better than the Kw figure would indicate.

Go for a test drive in the locations you would normally drive in, with the heaviest load you would expect to have, then decide (just don't also test an RS, it might give you ideas )

We have the 1.9 TDI in the Caddy Maxi Life and it goes very well(with towng as well).

I think anyone who drives the 1.9 Octavia would be surprised, Youv'e picked a nice car there, congrats.

          thanks guys..
yeah, it is manual... whilst i don't intend to carry a lot of weight, but having family of 5 would do just fine without any extra load ))
i've picked it for $31500 driveaway with front and rear parking sensors included plus few other minor extras.... i also was offered $6500 for my 2001 corolla as trade-in...
also whole beauty of this deal as well is that there are no interest and no repayments for 6 months....
