H7 Car LED Headlight with 4xCob Cree LED Chip

I am thinking of replacing the factory H7 bulbs in projectors headlights in my Fabia Monte Carlo as they are absolutely hopeless at night with H7 Cob Cree LED Chip but not sure what to get. Should I get 12V 84W 4000LM or 42W 3600 LM or something else?

I think a standard H7 is 55W... I don't know if the fuse and wiring will support the current draw of a 84W bulb...

The projector assemblies are not set up for LED light sources. So you will most likely see no benefit what so ever.

Either go with Philips Visionplus/Extreme or maybe go down this path

the bulb is 42W each, total 84W

Why not? If the light LED source is brighter than standard halogen bulb and as you are suggesting with Philips Visionplus/Extreme it should work, shouldn't it?

because that's not the most important factor in a headlight. It's the optics that focus the light that make the most difference. And the optics for optimal beam pattern is totally different between a halogen (filament), LED and a HID lamp.

OP, been thinking of doing the same thing for my high-beam. low beam I converted to HID already.

After the reading I decided to go for Philips Visionplus/Extreme as you suggested, it all makes a sense now.
