Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • EZ-Lip - Have you seen this?

I bought this off eBay a couple of weeks ago for under $50 delivered (from the US). It is called EZ-Lip. I am not sure if anyone else has come across this before?

IMO this looks good (a subtle addition to the front bumper), it is crazily simple install, it doesn't cost the earth and it essentially won't break, as it is flexible rubber.

I considered the spoliers from super skoda, but my drive way is a bit of bitch and i didn't want to outlay the $$$ involved to find out it came off or got damaged the first time i pulled out of my driveway. In truth, I actually think this looks better.

If you're just after a little lip at the bottom of your bumper this could be a good alternative to a plastic/fiberglass addition.

You can look on their website or if you search for ez-iip on ebay, it is bit cheaper. That's my two-cents.

A few Golf R and Scirocco R members have it and think it is very good value for money.
Glad to see they have one for the Skoda range too.

Looks far better on the Skodas than the Volkswagens.

        Looks pretty good.

You can get a similar effect with some garden edging from Bunnings and your adhesive of choice.

This looks like a bargain for $50 though.

It comes in a roll and you just cut it to length with scissors. Low cost front splitter and if you hit the curb it just flexes and goes back to shape as its foam.

The Golf boys have been onto these for a while. Good value mod and easy to remove if you don't like it/get sick of it.

Is it attached with double-sided tape or glue?

Brash I had mine at the July happy laps. Scuffed it on a shopping centre driveway so I've ordered my second one. US$35 from EZLip on the intermewebbythongamabob...

Yeah, I am pretty happy with the look and ease of installation. Then throw in the cost! To pay $50AUS and get a result like that, you can't really go wrong. Even if you don't like or get sick of the look, you can just remove it without any holes in your body work.

Looks pretty sharp - it defines the lower edge of the fascia. I have just ordered one for my wife's 2013 Roomy
