For the technically minded, this is a Hattori VD53 movement. This is Japanese in origin and is the movement used in most mid range Pulsar and Seiko chronographs.

I paid a second hand (as new) price, but it came in a leather clad box, with the case protection and battery clips still on, so it has never been worn, or used.
