I was also the lucky person that my dad bought a brand new Honda Civic Si sedan for me when I got my P. At the time Honda didn't make cars in Thailand and it was considered BMW of Japan. The civic I had was $31000 driveaway! (at the time even AC was optional!
So it's time for me to pay back that I'll help them to choose the best small car within the $20-25k range (except they'll be paying :p) I really thought Skoda has always been the best in terms of value for money, but I'm really disappointed with Fabia. Luckily, VW is doing crazy sales on all the Golfs, I took them for a test drive on the 77TSI, same engine as Fabia, but much roomier, has 7 SRS, 5 star EuroNCAP, and a real VW made in Germany. They were impressed, and they weren't interested in Japanese cars after that. (Not even Mazda 3 at run-out sale price).
