Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hey guys!

I've been away for a while and forgot my password and username, but you may remember this little Ibiza from previous posts (Years ago)

It's nearly finished, just needs I/C piping and tune up... I MAY be selling it (IF anyone's interested) as it is as I have run out of money for it -

Hit me up if you have any suggestions on how to do the intercooler.. there's not much room at the front! I'm thinking top mount.... And don't even suggest water to air.. it's a nightmare.

A top mount would be pointless. Must be easy to get a bigger than stock Golf intercooler on that. Once that flows top to bottom instead of sideways. My best description of one.

There is a heap of room up the back to mount a top mount like Subaru does (Though I don't really want to put a WRX scoop on a VW :/)

So you think an aftermarket Golf sidemount is a possibility?? Unfortunately I'm not where the car is so I cant measure anything.. The car is up in Yeppoon..

I'm thinking of just selling it as it is.. though I really don't want to.

You could try a sidemount but they aren't very big. I might have a Polo one around but not sure exactly where. I'd scope a front mount first TBH

No way in hell will I EVER put another water to air system on another car of mine... Too much that can go wrong... For a really good system, you gotta pay a ****e load of money...

I didn't put an expensive system on my last car.. The motor blew up.
