Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Paint Codes!

    Hi there,

    I'm sure this has been asked before, I just can't find one so... My baby is a Seat Ibiza GTI in red but faded and due for a new coat. Just wondering if anyone knows the paint code?

    Also, for other readers, if you know your paint code could you please post it here?

    What year model is your car, is the paint listed here: SEAT Touch Up Paint Sticks (see drop down box).


    Code is usually written in the first few pages of your service book/manual. If you give your VIN or registration plate ID to your dealer they should be able to tell you the code as well.
    Some say he was the Stig... all we know is that he drives a VW Transporter.

      1996, there are 3 different reds on there... I'm thinking Ruby Red, but I can't say for sure.
