Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Parts for Seat Ibiza GTI

    Hi guys,

Located on the Gold Coast, Can someone recommend someone I can order parts from?
I was looking at Camden GTI, Is there anyone else I could get prices from?

I am looking for 3 parts.
You can see the parts in the picture.

The are induction hose has holes in it and the engine oil breather (I believe???) which has 2 parts has completely snapped off.

Does anyone know any aftermartker solution for the induction hose? This is just an option.

***Not a pic of my car***

    Thanks guys.

I needed some induction hoses once, found a few similar items bundled with intercooler upgrades, there were also some silicone options. In the end I wasn't 100% sure how compatible they were with my car (designed for the GTI) so I found a wrecked car like mine and got the hoses from there.
Some say he was the Stig... all we know is that he drives a VW Transporter.

that breather hose I made out of 3/4 copper and a 90 bend. Would no doubt need an oxy torch or map gas to make it up though.

Camden GTI is your best bet. Nice and friendly. I bought my GTI from him and a door for a mk3 Golf.
Looking for a new project! PM if you have a Golf Mk2 in need of some TLC.

On 12 month suspension for enjoying my Ibiza GTI too much... 2 months left!
